Overview

Hero Kits is a tool designed to teach children essential safety skills, with this project focusing on hands-only CPR. CPR rates in the U.S. have historically been low, especially when compared with other countries. By teaching kids early, Hero Kits aims to build stronger CPR skills and ultimately save more lives.

Personal Learnings

1) Time Management (basic but true!!).

Balancing research, prototyping, and designing three different elements was tough, especially when everything overlapped. I became better at breaking things down, planning my day realistically, and refining goals.

2) Asking the Right People

I felt like sometimes I was asking the wrong users for insights because of time constraints. I learned to be more intentional about who I asked and what I needed from them.

3) Designing with Constraints.

Working with limited time, resources, and deadlines pushed me to be more creative and realistic in my solutions. There were times when I had to move forward with an imperfect prototype or idea just to keep making progress.
