Human Factors Validation for CUVIS-joint Robotic System
CUREXO partnered with THRIVE Thinking to conduct a Human Factors Formative Study for the CUVIS-joint Robotic System (Model CJ150). Orthopedic surgeons and surgical staff used the system during a simulated Total Knee Arthroplasty, while the research team evaluated task performance, use errors, use difficulties, and participant feedback to determine whether the system could be used safely and effectively in the United States.
As a Human Factors Researcher at THRIVE, I helped plan and execute the validation study from participant recruitment through final reporting. I coordinated participant scheduling, prepared study materials and the simulated operating room, documented observations during testing, analyzed usability findings, and contributed to the Human Factors Validation Report submitted to the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA).
This Human Factors Validation Report contributed to the successful FDA clearance of the CUVIS-joint Robotic System.
